Calling all of those 30's reproduction fabriholics! This is the perfect pattern to create a beautiful 51" x 67" quilt from your collected stash. Need a larger quilt? Just keep making blocks and then add the border of your choice using favorite fabrics or, using the applique included in the pattern - hand, machine, or fuse. Another border option: a dear friend of mine Irene made lots of half square triangles from her scraps and then created a sawtooth border for the outside edge of her quilt. The quilt is inspired by a block called True Lover's Knot which is cataloged in Carrie Hall's index of blocks from the Spencer Museum of Art at the University of Kansas. It is also known by other names -- California Oak Leaf and Sassafras Leaf.
